Publication Ethics
Ulumuna is an Islamic studies journal published twice a year in print and online by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LP2M) of the Miftahul Ulum Islamic Institute in Pamekasan. This publication ethics guideline contains the ethical behavior of parties directly or indirectly involved in publishing articles in Ulumuna, including authors, editors, reviewers, and publishing institutions. The publication ethics guidelines are as follows.
Publishing Ethics Standards
Ulumuna publication is a forum for scholars in the world of publication carried out by lecturers and researchers. Therefore, every person involved in the Ulumuna publication process is required to adhere to the publication ethics standards outlined by the Ulumuna journal.
Fair Attitude of Reviewers
Reviewers assess manuscripts based on the substance of a work, without any tendency to reject SARA sentiments, nationality, and political philosophy of the authors.
Reviewers' Contribution to Editors and Authors
The reviewers' assessment greatly assists the editor in deciding the editorial mechanism through editorial communication with the author, as well as helping the author to improve his/her manuscript.
Manuscript Confidentiality
Every manuscript received for review by reviewers must be treated as a confidential document.
Originality
All authors are required to ensure that the work submitted is their own work and can be proven to be original, and to ensure that the citation system is carried out correctly if using other people's property as a citation.
Multiple Publication
Each author must not publish a manuscript that substantially describes the same research in more than one journal or primary and primary publisher. If there is a submission of the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously, it is unethical behavior.
About Author Position
The main author is positioned as the main author. Every significant contributor to the journal manuscript must be listed as a co-author. If there are other people who participate in certain important aspects of the research project, they must be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
Plagiarism Chaker
In an effort to avoid plagiarism, Ulumuna uses Google Scholar/Google Cendikia in detecting submitted writings. At the same time, it is also assisted by the paid Plagiarism Chaker application.
