Abstract

This journal discusses the role of economic status in improving learning achievement and will focus research on two aspects, namely How the socio-economic status of parents of students at SMK Babussalam, Jeruwaru District, East Lombok Regency, 2018/2019 academic year. What is the role of parents' socioeconomic status in improving student achievement at SMK Babussalam Montong Sari, Jeruwaru District, East Lombok Regency, 2018/2019 Academic Year. The literature review as a basis for strengthening the theory in this study describes several things about: understanding the level of parents' socioeconomic status, indicators of the level of parents' socioeconomic status, the relationship between parents' socioeconomic status and student social attitudes, understanding of learning achievement, factors that affect learning achievement. This study uses several methods in collecting data, namely by using three methods, namely observation, documentation and interviews, while for the validity of the data technique using triangulation, time extension and asking colleagues. While the data obtained in this study is related to the formulation of the problem. While the conclusions of this study contain: that the socio-economic status of students' parents varies, namely classified as rich and poor, meaning that no one has a very high income or a very low income. Meanwhile, the role of parents' status is very helpful in the process and smooth learning, it can be seen from: parents like to donate, are able to support children's learning facilities, do not overdue payments, students' clothes look clean and neat and like to save.
