BMT CONTRIBUTION IN EMPOWERMENT OF UMKM

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (read : UMKM) are the largest actors in the economic sector engaged in trade and services.  In general, the problem faced by UMKM in Pasongsongan city and its surroundings is the problem of capital, where micro and small entrepreneurs do not have sufficient business capital to run a business. The focus of this study is to analyze the differences and development of UMKM beween before and after obtaining financing from BMT-UGT Sidogiri Pasongsongan Branch. The object of the research is UMKM who are members of BMT-UGT Sidogiri Pasongsongan Branch with a sample of 50. The types of data collected in this study are primary data and secondary data. From this study, the authors found that: a. Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) have an important role in the national economy, UMKM have experienced a very sharp increase, but in practice UMKM actors in the Pasongsongan area and its surroundings still face various obstacles and obstacles. As a business whose scope and members are small people, they are shackled to a classic and complicated problem, namely the lack of money as business capital. b. With regard to the financial limitations faced by UMKM actors in the Pasongsongan area and its surroundings, the existence of BMT-UGT Sidogiri Pasongsongan branch is a paradigmatic solution in responding to the problems of financial limitations they face.  People who have not been touched by financial institutions have found a solution with the presence of BMT-UGT Sidogiri Pasongsongan branch which provides business capital loans. BMT-UGT Sidogiri Pasongsongan branch made a significant contribution in maintaining and developing their business, namely by providing loan funds for business capital through an easy and fast process.
