PERAN KYAI DALAM POLITIK DAN EKONOMI ISLAM (Studi Kasus di Madura)

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of kyai in Islamic politics and economics in Madura. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach method, namely a method that produces data in the form of words both orally and in writing. The data in this research was obtained through literature study, which includes collecting information from various sources, such as books, journals and websites. Literature studies are used to understand phenomena in depth through studying relevant theories and concepts. The research results show that kyai have a significant role in Islamic political and economic life in Madura. Kyai are respected as buppa', babu', guruh, and ratoh, which places them as role models in community life. Kyai not only provide spiritual direction, but also play an important role as motivators in politics and drivers of Islamic economic progress. Respect for kyai shows how close the relationship between religion, culture and social life of the Madurese people is. This role emphasizes the importance of kyai in building a social order that can support Islamic values. Keywords: Role of Kyai, Politics, Islamic Econom
