Abstract

The ability to read is one of the basic skills that is very important in the world of education. However, based on various research and observations in the field, there are still many students at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level who experience difficulties in reading.  Research Objectives: 1. Analyze students' experiences in using Pop-up Book and Big Book media. 2. Identify students' perceptions of the effectiveness of the two media in improving reading skills. 3. Examining the effect of using Pop-up Books and Big Books in increasing students' interest in reading and developing students' imagination. Research Method: Descriptive research pattern and Case Study with a Qualitative approach. The research results are; (1) the use of Pop-up Book and Big Book media provides a fun and different learning experience compared to conventional learning media, (2) students have a positive perception of the use of Pop-up Books and Big Books, and (3) students have a positive perception of the use of Pop-up Books and Big Books.
