IMPLEMENTASI MODEL PjBL DENGAN MEDIA BARANG BEKAS UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR SENI BUDAYA DAN PRAKARYA
Abstrak
This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model using recycled materials to improve the Art Education learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDI An-Nur. This research employed a qualitative approach with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The participants consisted of the classroom teacher, students, and the school principal. The findings revealed that before the implementation of PjBL, Art Education learning was predominantly teacher-centered, resulting in limited student participation and creativity. After the implementation of PjBL using recycled materials as learning media, students demonstrated increased activeness, creativity, learning motivation, collaboration skills, and a better understanding of the subject matter through hands-on learning experiences. Students responded positively to project-based activities because they were more engaging and enjoyable. Furthermore, both the teacher and principal stated that the use of recycled materials supported meaningful learning while fostering environmental awareness among students. Although several challenges were encountered, such as differences in students’ levels of participation and limitations in preparing materials, the implementation of PjBL was considered effective in improving both the learning process and learning outcomes. Therefore, the PjBL model assisted by recycled materials is recommended as an innovative learning strategy for elementary school Art Education.
