Plagiarism Policy

The Editorial Team of Miqlamah's Journal acknowledges that plagiarism is unacceptable and has established a policy outlining specific actions (penalties) to be taken upon finding plagiarism in an article submitted for publication.

Plagiarism is defined as the intentional or unintentional act of claiming credit for scientific work by citing another party's work without proper attribution.

Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any material obtained verbally from other sources must be appropriately acknowledged to distinguish it from the original text. If plagiarism is detected, the Editor-in-Chief will review the article and determine appropriate action based on the level of plagiarism:

Plagiarism Levels:

  1. Copying short sentences from other articles without citation.
Action: The author receives a warning and is asked to properly cite and quote the text.
  2. Extensive plagiarism from other articles without proper citation.
Action: Submitted articles are rejected, and authors may face sanctions, including a ban on future publication in Miqlamah Journals.

Authors sign the Miqlamah Journal Publication Ethics Statement Form, making them accountable for their submitted articles. If plagiarism is detected, all authors face the same consequences. If an author submits the same paper to Miqlamah and other journals simultaneously, leading to overlap, the actions outlined in point 2 are taken. For instances of plagiarism beyond the stated standards, the editor of Miqlamah Journal has the discretion to impose appropriate penalties following the editorial team's policy.
