Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of religious moderation values in character formation among students at Al-Asror Integrated Islamic Junior High School. Religious moderation is seen as an effort to instill the values of balance in religion, tolerance, and respect for differences in a pluralistic society. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study. Subjects included the principal, Islamic religious education teachers, and students. Data collection techniques were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of religious moderation at Al-Asror Integrated Islamic Junior High School is implemented through learning activities based on the Islamic value of rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for the universe), the cultivation of tolerance, and extracurricular activities based on intergroup togetherness. The values of religious moderation, such as justice, balance, tolerance, and deliberation, form the foundation for developing students' religious, polite, and national-minded characters.
