Abstract
Abstract
Learning of Aqidah Akhlak in elementary schools is still predominantly conducted using lecture-based methods, resulting in limited student engagement and suboptimal development of students' visual-spatial intelligence. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Poster Session method, identify its contribution to the development of students' visual-spatial intelligence, and examine the challenges and solutions in its implementation in the Aqidah Akhlak subject for fifth-grade students at LPI SD Al Ishlah. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data collection, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The trustworthiness of the data was ensured through triangulation, persistent observation, and prolonged engagement. The findings indicate that the implementation of the Poster Session method through both group and individual activities enhanced students' participation, creativity, self-confidence, ability to present and explain learning materials, and development of visual-spatial intelligence. The challenges encountered included students' lack of self-confidence, differences in learning abilities, limited instructional time, and students' tendency to focus more on visual aspects than on the content of the material. Therefore, the Poster Session method is an effective alternative active learning strategy for fostering students' visual-spatial intelligence in Aqidah Akhlak learning.
