Peran Pengawas dalam Mengoptimalkan Kualitas Mutu Pendidikan di SDN Margasari 2
Abstract
The supervisor is one of the education developers who is responsible for the smooth implementation of education and teaching in schools. This study discusses the role of education supervisors in optimizing the quality of education at SDN Margasari 2 in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research, while the data collection techniques used are interviews, observations and documentation. The researcher sought information through the school supervisor of the State Elementary School (SDN) education unit in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency. Based on the results of the observations that have been made, we get the results that: School supervisors in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency have been running well, namely by; 1) Assist teachers in overcoming problems faced in teaching students, monitoring education quality assurance and standards, monitoring the admission of new students, monitoring student learning processes and outcomes, Monitor the implementation of tests and others. 2) School Supervisors in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency have had a regular program every month. 3) Supporting factors for education supervisors include support from schools, training, community involvement, and enthusiasm in education supervisors. 4) The inhibiting factors of education supervisors in East Karawang District, Karawang Regency are low motivation of teachers to be supervised, teachers consider supervision unnecessary because they feel they already have the ability, lack of supervision carried out by the supervisor of National Education (national education), limited time for school principals to supervise teachers, lack of teacher participation in assisting school principals in the implementation of academic supervision.
