PERAN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENGOPTIMALKAN KUALITAS PENDIDIKAN DI SMPN 3 CIBITUNG
Abstract
The role of the school principal as a leader determines the achievement of optimal educational quality. Because the principal is a professional official in the school organization who is tasked with managing all organizational resources and collaborating with teachers in educating students to achieve educational goals. This research aims to analyze the role of the principal's leadership in improving the quality of education at SMPN 3 Cibitung, with a focus on challenges such as limited infrastructure, low parental support, and the development of teacher professionalism. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. The results of this research show that educational leadership plays a role in optimizing the quality of education. The school has committed to optimizing the quality of education through various efforts, including innovative curriculum development, professional program development for teachers, systematic performance evaluation, and collaboration with various parties. Despite facing challenges in terms of parents' educational background, schools are trying hard to overcome these obstacles and continue to strive to improve facilities and infrastructure to support a better teaching and learning process.
