PERSEPSI MAHASISWA AKTIVIS UIN KHAS JEMBER TERHADAP MODERASI BERAGAMA DI ERA DISRUPSI DIGITAL
Abstract
The phenomenon of religious learning through social media is rampant among students. This is an opportunity to internalize religious moderation in the student environment. This research aims to reveal the perception of activist students towards religious moderation through social media in the era of digital disruption. This study uses a qualitative research design with a descriptive method, while the data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation integrally with data analysis techniques through Milles and Huberman's theory. This study shows that students' perception of the application of religious moderation can be internalized through the intermediary of social media with videos, reading articles, and intensive persuasion strategies from social media content owners. The findings of the study provide an overview that the phenomenon of the application of religious moderation in the millennial generation can be improved through the distribution of religious materials that are relevant to modern issues without reducing the essence of religious education. This study recommends further research to examine the effectiveness of understanding religious moderation in the younger generation in the face of pluralism in Indonesia.
