PENGUATAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA DI SMAN 4 PASURUAN MELALUI PEMBIASAAN MEMBACA ASMAUL HUSNA
Abstract
Religious character education in schools plays a crucial role in shaping students' personalities, particularly in instilling moral and spiritual values. This study aims to describe the implementation of the habit of reciting Asmaul Husna as a method for strengthening students' religious character at SMAN 4 Pasuruan. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method, involving direct observation, interviews with Islamic Education (PAI) teachers, and documentation. The findings reveal that the habit of reciting Asmaul Husna has a positive impact on shaping students' religious character, such as improved discipline, politeness, and care for others. Theologically, this practice helps students internalize the attributes of Allah SWT, while pedagogically, it aligns with the concept of character education, encompassing the understanding of values, emotional engagement with values, and the application of values in daily life. Beyond individual impacts, this activity also influences students' social environments, bringing religious values into family life. Despite challenges in maintaining consistency and time constraints, this program has proven effective in shaping a generation that is not only intellectually capable but also possesses noble character and a strong sense of social responsibility.
