RELEVANSI KODE ETIK GURU DALAM MEMBANGUN PENDIDIKAN BERKUALITAS
Abstract
Today's educational environment faces complex challenges, making the role of teachers as moral and social guides for students crucial. The teacher code of ethics is a key cornerstone in creating quality education, by providing guidance for teacher behavior, ensuring positive role models, supporting diversity, and providing relevant education. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study, collecting data from written sources such as books, journals, government regulations, and credible online sources. The results showed that the teacher code of ethics has a dual function as protection and professional development, providing guidelines for teachers in improving quality and professionalism, and encouraging self-development and competence. The relevance of the teacher code of ethics lies in its role in ensuring the quality of education, protecting students' interests, maintaining public trust, and creating a safe and supportive learning environment. By adhering to the code of ethics, teachers can ensure that interactions with students, parents, colleagues and the community are conducted with responsibility and professionalism.
