Abstract

The ladder snake game is one of the easy and much liked games by children, but needs to make more interesting changes when it wants to be used as a learning medium. With the new learning media, children will be more relaxed and cool automatically will easily understand the subject matter. The study focuses on the effectiveness of using the snake game staircase as a learning medium to improve the Arabic speaking skills of eighth-grade students at Darut Ta'lim An Nawawi Surabaya MTs. In this study, the entire class VIII was included as a sample. The quantitative method was used with data analysis using the Mann-Whitney test through the SPSS application. The results of the study showed a significant improvement in Arabic speaking skills after the implementation of the snake ladder game. Sig < 0.05 indicates acceptance of the hypothesis. Significant differences were seen in the average rating between pre-test and post-test, indicating an improvement in Arabic learning results in pencil maharaj. In conclusion, the use of the game of snake stairs as a learning medium at Darut Ta'lim An Nawawi Surabaya MTs resulted in a significant improvement in students' ability to speak Arabic.
