FOCUS AND SCOPE

Al-Irfan, Journal of Arabic Literature and Islamic Studies, a journal founded in 2018, invites scholars, researchers, and students to contribute their studies and research in the fields of the language literature and Islamic Studies. Embracing the field of language literature and Islamic Studies broadly defined, the editors warmly welcome articles and research reports addressing linguistics literature and Islamic Studies, including:

PEER REVIEW PROCESS

Al-Irfan operates a peer review process and promotes blind reviewing. Al-Irfan receives many more submissions than can be published. It will be reviewed by some expert of language and literature from several universities in different countries. To be published in this journal, a paper should meet general criterias:

  • provides strong evidence for its conclusions
  • should be a research result or literature studies in language literature field and Islamic Studies
  • ideally, interesting to researchers in language literature field and Islamic Studies and other related disciplines.

The paper submitted in the journal must be original, unpublished work, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Every paper submitted will be scanned for plagiarism before it is sent to the reviewer.

OPEN ACCESS POLICY

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Jurnal ini menyediakan akses terbuka yang pada prinsipnya membuat riset tersedia secara gratis untuk publik dan akan mensupport pertukaran pengetahuan global terbesar.

ARCHIVING

This journal utilizes the UNLOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

ORIGINALITY AND PLAGIARISM

Naskah yang dikirim merupakan karya otentik penulis dan tidak mengandung plagiasi. Naskah tersebut hendaknya menawarkan sesuatu yang baru dalam studi terkait.

ARTICLE PUBLICATION CHARGE (APC)

Al-Irfan is a journal of Arabic Literature and Islamic Studies does not charge authors and readers with any fee. All the process of submission, publication, and maintenance of publication are free of charge.

PLAGIARSM SCREENING

The editors of Al-Irfan is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editors may be guided by the policies of the journal's editorial board and constrained by such legal requirements as shall then be in force regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism. The editors may confer with other editors or reviewers in making their decisions.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Editor Al-Irfan menerima artikel dengan ketentuan sebagai berikut:

  1. Artikel belum pernah dipublikasikan atau diterima untuk dipublikasikan, atau sedang dipertimbangkan untuk diterbitkan di tempat lain, disertai surat pernyataan tidak plagiasi.
  2. Al-Irfan hanya menerima naskah dengan objek kajian bahasa dan sastra Arab, ranah linguistik, filologi, sastra (sejarah, kritik, teori), atau terjemah serta Islamic Studies.
  3. Artikel dikirim dalam bentuk soft file dalam format docx. (diketik dengan program Microsoft Word) melalui email al.irfanstiba@gmail.com
  4. Artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia sesuai standar penulisan akademis. Naskah ditulis dengan font Book Antiqua ukuran 11 dan spasi 1.5 pada kertas berukuran A4, antara 4.500 s.d. 7.000 kata. Ukuran tersebut mencakup catatan kaki, daftar pustaka, gambar, dan tabel.
  5. Artikel yang ditulis dalam bahasa Arab sesuai standar penulisan akademis. Naskah ditulis dengan font Traditional Arabic ukuran 16 dan spasi 1 pada kertas berukuran A4, antara 4.500 s.d. 7.000 kata. Ukuran tersebut mencakup catatan kaki, daftar pustaka, gambar, dan tabel.
  6. Transliterasi Arab-Latin yang dipakai dalam Jurnal Al-Irfan berpedoman pada Surat Keputusan Bersama Menteri Agama dan Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republik Indonesia Nomor: 158/1987 dan 0543b/U/1987. Transliterasi hanya dipakai untuk penulisan istilah, nama, judul, dan daftar pustaka.
  7. Kutipan langsung berbahasa Arab menggunakan font Traditional Arabic (ukuran 14). Kutipan berbahasa Indonesia atau Inggris menggunakan font Book Antiqua (ukuran 9). Kutipan berbahasa Arab atau Inggris disertai terjemahannya.
  8. Daftar riwayat hidup penulis dilampirkan di akhir naskah.
  9. Format penulisan:
  1. Judul (5d. 12 kata),
  2. Nama penulis (tanpa gelar akademis) dengan afiliasi dan alamat surel,
  3. Abstrak (150 s.d.250 kata) yang meliputi rumusan masalah, metode, urgensi (pentingnya) penelitian, dan hasil,
  4. Kata kunci (3 s.d. 5 kata/frasa),
  5. Sistematika Penulisan:

SUBMISSION PREPARATION CHECKLIST

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  1. The submission file is in Microsoft Word file format.
  2. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  3. The text is double-spaced; uses a Times New Roman 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining; and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  4. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  5. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

COPYRIGHT NOTICE

  1. Jurnal Al-Irfan memublikasikan seluruh artikel yang dimuatnya secara keseluruhan (full text). 
  2. Dipersilahkan kepada pembaca untuk mengunduh dan menggunakannya untuk kepentingan ilmiah dan penyebaran keilmuan.
  3. Penulis bisa menerbitkan kembali tulisannya yang sudah dipublikasikan Jurnal Al-Irfansetelah mendapatkan izin tertulis dari penyunting. Surat ini bisa diperoleh dengan mengajukan surat permohonan izin untuk menerbitkan kembali tulisan tersebut. Pada publikasi kedua tersebut, Penulis diharuskan menyertakan informasi bahwa tulisan tersebut telah terbit pada kali pertama di Jurnal Al-Irfan.
