This study aims to describe and analyze Nurcholish Madjid's thoughts on tasawud education in Islamic boarding schools and find out how relevant they are to Islamic education. The assessment method used in this research is a qualitative method. This study uses a biographical model or often referred to as character studies. It is the personality or individual of a character who is considered to have important roles or special events that are written down. This research has a biographical model because the research subjects can be people who are still alive or who have died. As long as researchers get the appropriate data and documents. The result of this study is that Sufism education is a key part of Islamic education, because Sufism education is built on strong principles and solid foundations which serve as reinforcement and strengthening of the relationship between a Muslim and his God, namely Allah Swt. Sufism education can form noble morals-a character that departs from the reflection of a soul that is holy or clean from polytheism, from the impurities of the soul/heart. With the purity of the soul, a person will naturally feel close to Allah Swt. Nurcholish Madjid said that tasawuf education would be able to balance knowledge, faith, and morality within the framework of monotheism, in the sense that the knowledge possessed by students would be used to carry out God's commands and to provide good for themselves and others in ways that are pleasing to God. This is what is called goodness, which is conditioned by sincerityDownloads
