Analisis Perbandingan Antara Teori Kuantitas Modern Menurut Milton Friedman Dan Teori Permintaan Uang Dalam Islam
Abstract
According to contemporary quantity theory, the same factors that affect the demand for assets should also affect the demand for money. Islamic economics prohibits the demand for money to save or speculate as this will only lead to the accumulation of money in the hands of a few people. The purpose of this study is to analyze the comparison between the modern quantity theory according to Milton Friedman and the theory of money demand in Islam. This type of research method uses qualitative research with a library research approach. The findings of this study, which contrasts contemporary quantity theory with Islamic money demand theory, show that Friedman did not start by thoroughly examining the reasons people keep money. The Islamic perspective on money demand states that there are two known reasons for money demand: transactions and precautions.Downloads
